I’m not sure where to begin with my review. I finished this book at 4 in the morning because I had to see what happened. I was taken on an emotional roller coaster of a ride with so many highs and lots of lows. It didn’t take long for my tears to fall down my cheeks, many times. My heart shattered over and over, then would come back together, only to be shattered again. I loved the book so much because it wasn’t all rainbow and unicorns. It was pure and raw material that shows what can and will happen in life. The main characters are likable and you definitely have your devils. Fallen Poppies is a book that shines light on so many things that are wrong in the world, the raw truth on what people can go through and have gone through. It’s not sugar coated. I felt anger, sadness, happiness, basically all the emotions you can feel. It’ll stay with me for a long time. Fallen Poppies showed me that even if you come from nothing, you can make a life for yourself. No one is perfect and sometimes the truth hurts.
