I have read several books by Susan Lewis which I’ve enjoyed, but unfortunately I found this one so confusing with there being a book within a book. I just couldn’t find any empathy for Marina at all, in fact I found her really annoying and I almost gave up on the book after several chapters but I carried on to the end as I don’t like giving up on a book. Sorry but this book wasn’t for me.

I normally look forward to a new Susan Lewis book, yet this one was just awful. Very flimsy plot, Miranda was a neurotic and all the supposed did she/didn’t she just didn’t work. Sorry Susan, I know you’re under pressure to churn out books, but take a break and produce something that you are so, so good at normally.
