I've watched Wimbledon on tv since a was a young girl, tv was in black and white in our house in the 60's. I loved watching it and playing it as I got older. These day in my head I can still play but in reality I can't, but I still enjoy coverage of Wimbledon on tv, so really looked forward to reading Sue's book. It arrived on one day delivery and I'm really enjoying it. Her book is interesting because she played the game and has lived tennis at Wimbledon. She's played against some of the greats that I've enjoyed watching and her chats with ex players and friends, some now coaching makes fascinating reading and it's nice to see them back in the world of tennis. Sue knows how it all works and what it takes to become a tennis players and what it's like behind the scenes at Wimbledon. I miss her on our screens. These days she's enjoying the tennis world as a spectator and loving it. This is her 2nd book since she retired. I hope there'll be more. I can't put this one down.

A truly great book for tennis enthusiasts, written with much care and attention to detail, Sue Barker along with Billie Jean King and other greats have certainly worked very hard to establish tennis to its former status. An exceptional book, congratulations Sue.
