Having met him at cricket matches and his Dewsbury garage business, my own interest in Solly Adam's biography was principally on the chapters dedicated to club cricket. His move to England, playing career at various clubs in the old Central Yorkshire League then Bradford League and also the many illustrious names he helped find placements at clubs in Yorkshire. It's a great read (with plenty on other aspects such as Sachin Tendulkar coming to play for Yorkshire) and Vara Vantapati does well in pulling all of the strands together.

This book feels like listening to Solly Bhai tell his story firsthand, it's like a 'written-down autobiography podcast,' engaging from the very first page. His life is filled with anecdotes about the 400 cricketers he introduced to English league cricket, including greats like Sachin Tendulkar, Imran Khan, Sunil Gavaskar, and VVS Laxman, to name a few. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to all cricket lovers!
