Such an inspiring story. Told from a very different viewpoint than most of the books about Auschwitz, and revealing a truly gracious and humble man of noble character.

Eddie encourages us to be kind, to love and not hate, his message to practice gratitude every day is a stark reminder that in doing something so simple we can change ourselves, our relationship with each other and our attitude to the people we meet everyday. It is something we can all do as it is transformative and touches those around us. Less we forget, in not so many more years all remaining Holocaust survivors will be gone, their stories forgotten or ignored at worst rubbed out from history. In their memory we can live more mindfully, greet others with a smile and find something to be grateful for every day.
