I have a fair few of Sarah's books, I always seem to be buying one for a lovely Christmas read. I have to say that this one, as some others have said, is the best yet. A beautiful, heartwarming read and is totally immersed in a lovely, warm Christmas atmosphere. Let me state, I don't read this type of book generally (more into autobiograhies or fact based books). However, as stated, I started to read a Christmas one a few years back and as I am one of those "weird" people who absolutely love Christmas, once started, I was hooked. I can see why Sarah is so popular, and deservedly so. There were times when I found tears in my eyes as it was so emotive. The only downside was when I completed the book. One of the best books I have read in a long time so well done Sarah and thank you.

I absolutely loved reading this book, I didn't want it to end. The reason that I picked this book is the lovely xmassy front cover. I've already started looking at some more Sarah Morgan books 📚

I genuinely enjoyed "The Christmas Cottage” thanks to Sarah Morgan's beautifully descriptive scene setting. The setting captures the stunning scenery and cosy atmosphere that perfectly captures the magic of the holiday season. The vivid descriptions of the surroundings make it easy to visualise the charming cottage nestled amidst a winter wonderland. The story was captivating and heartwarming, providing a sense of nostalgia and joy that resonates deeply during this time of year. However, I wished for a bit more depth in the character development. Some characters had intriguing backstories that could have added richness to their arcs, helping readers connect with them on a deeper level. The conclusion was a little flat for my preferences, leaving me with lingering questions about the characters' resolutions and relationships. I eagerly wanted to know more about their journeys and how they navigated their challenges. Overall, "The Christmas Cottage" was a delightful read that left me with a sense of warmth and holiday cheer, and I can't help but feel that exploring the characters' experiences in greater detail would have enhanced the magical atmosphere and left an even stronger impression.

Sarah Morgan has done it again and given us a lovely heartwarming Christmas read . No one knows what people are going through , they just assume that all is ok , & with this read you feel for Imagen , Dorothy & Sara in a difficult situation; hurt & grief never goes away you just have to learn how to deal with them , and carry on with your life best as you can , if having a big slice of chocolate cake helps & makes you feel better then go for it , I loved all the characters and took to Dorothy , she was very kind helpful & caring , & not forgetting Ralph , animals are a great comfort and know when thing aren’t right , If I had a Christmas wish list then escaping to that delightful cosy cottage with the lovely quiet surroundings would be at the top of it & I would take cake and mince pies to munch on whilst I was reading , this is my first Christmas read this year and it wasn’t a disappointment I loved it

Imogen is a workaholic loner who is used to fending for herself, especially with a mum like Tina who only phones when she needs something or wants money. Imogen is used to disappointment and is dreading Christmas. After she disappears in the midst of an event she's organised, and turns up to work handing in her resignation, she's given a month off with no choice. Thankfully friend and colleague Dorothy offers her a cottage to stay in for Christmas. But Dorothy is hiding something from Imogen. There's awesome dogs, handsome vets, manic alpacas, two adorable little girls and a winter wonderland. There's also a painful past that needs to be faced and a blossoming romance. Another wonderful Christmas book.

This is a light read for a cold, snowy day ,listening to romantic background music, drinking a special hot, silky chocolate drink and enjoying the warmth of a cosy log fire. The gentle flow of the story mixed with the harmony of likeable characters adds to the ambience of Christmas and romantic feelings. Everyone needs this sense of well being. I would recommend this charming book to anyone who dreams of family and love. Sarah Morgan is an author to add to my long list of new writers to enjoy reading in the future.

A light fluffy read with a promising start but disappointingly seemed to fizzle out. The first half focused on Imogen and her relationships with work and her mother. It was quite deep at times with her as a high achiever and independent woman who masks her loneliness and need to fit in. It then changes to sudden new romance, new family, Xmas activities and everthing sorted. I was waiting for some drama, or showdown with Tina or something else but it all just fizzled out. Quite bland and boring in parts. Also there were no character descriptions which I always find annoying - I like to know someone’s hair colour, eyes, so I can visualize them so more relatable. I have enjoyed many books by this author and will reread lots but this one seemed like it was written by someone else.

This book had me hooked from start to finish and what a journey it took me on in between. This story started off with us meeting Imogen, honestly I wasn’t sure how to take her at first but I knew there was a back story to why she acted how she did. She was stand offish, but what a beautiful person she was once her walls were broken down. This girl did not have an easy upbringing and her mother was a real piece of work, I really felt sorry for her poor girl and so happy her life changed. Next up we met Dorothy and what an absolute gem of a woman she was, she was so kind and caring and someone that you would be lucky enough to have in your life. Loved her a lot. Imogen really liked Dorothy, she was there for Imogen when life got tough and changed her life completely. I don’t want to spoil the storyline but you are in for such a treat with these two women. I absolutely adored this book, and couldn’t put it down. It was heartwarming, full of joy, had the most beautiful setting filled with wonderful characters and a brilliant storyline. The perfect Christmas read, definitely add this to your December TBR.
